氣動三通球閥由GT型、DA型、AW型氣動活塞式雙作用或單作用（彈簧復位式）執行機構組成，有比例調節型（采用電-氣閥門定位器，以電信號和壓縮空氣為動力，接受控制系統輸入的0-10mA DC或4-20mA DC電流信號，改變球芯的旋轉角度，可實現比例調節動作）。二位切換型（采用電磁換向閥、閥位回訊器，以AC220V或DC24V電源電壓和壓縮空氣作動力，實現對流體介質的快速切換控制）

1．三通球閥有兩座和四座密封結構，閥芯孔道有L型和T型兩種結構形式，采用控制閥芯旋轉角度，改變閥芯孔道與管道口的連接狀態，可實現對三條支管不同的組合控制。三通球閥流通能力大，可控制氣體、液體、蒸汽，更適用于控制高粘度，纖維顆粒狀的流體。也適用于密封要求較嚴格的場合。
2．兩閥座密封三通球閥具有結構緊湊、外形美觀、密封性能好，它能實現對管道中介質流向的切換。也能使相互垂直的兩個通道連通或關閉（如流向圖A）
3．四閥座密封三通球閥具有造型美觀、結構緊湊合理，它不僅可實現介質流向的切換，也可使三個通道相互連通，同時可關閉任意一個通道，使另外兩個通道連通，靈活控制管路是介質的合流或分流（如流向圖B）。
4．T型閥芯孔道可使三條正交的管道互相連通或切換，起分流或合流作用；L型孔道連接相互正交的兩管道。使另一條孔道切斷，起改變介質流向作用。
